We've sometimes discussed here how some radio and TV personalities mispronounce their words. This isn't a case of mispronunciation. It is non-pronunciation.
Lauren Stallone, who reads the news on CTV London was reporting a story of a farmer who had to be rescued from inside his silo. She must have never seen or heard the word "silo" before. Every time to
he word appeared in the story, instead of saying it, she spelled it out. S-I-L-O.
"A Perth Count man had to be rescued from his S-I-LO."
