It's not often you hear Jerry Agar doing the morning show on NewsTalk 1010, but there he was early on Thursday, subbing for an absent John Moore.
It's not clear what happened to the usual host, but whatever it was, it took place rather quickly. Agar admitted he had no idea he was going to have to do the early shift until the evening before.
Another odd thing about this change? Normally John Tory fills in for Moore, but this time, he's taking Agar's 10 AM-noon slot.
There's been no word about what happens Friday, but it sounds like things could be back to normal then.

Some choice, the unlistenable bloviating of Tory on 1010, or the unlistenable self-help guru on 640. CKTB, here I come.

John Tory revealed that John Moore suffered some kind of a back problem, hence the sudden need to replace him.

And the reason for not covering the morning show on short notice. He was out of town.

Those who don't like Tory should prepare to reset their radios for a while. While John Moore will be back, Tory let the audience know he'll be filling in for him when he goes on vacation, a date that should be coming soon.
Moore has previously said he intends to be gone for about a month, so Tory will likely be taking his place for most of that time. Plan accordingly.
