A new Internet domain name that became available on August 23rd may be of interest to some here: it’s (dot) radio.
It joins stalwarts like (dot) com, (dot) ca, (dot) net, (dot) org and of course the oldest one of all, (dot) matrix.
(O.K. that last one is a printer joke that goes back a long way – but sadly, not far enough!)
(dot) radio will only be available to broadcasters, internet radios, people working in radio, companies supplying goods and services, and radio amateurs - at least at first.
If I understand this right, the domain can be claimed only by the above group until November 15th, after which it becomes a free-for-all. So if for whatever reason, you’re interested and you qualify, now’s the time to register.

As strictly a guess, .radio is going to have tons of European radio stations?
