Just days before she was going back on tour, hitmaker Bonnie Tyler was rushed to a Portugal hospital for emergency intestinal surgery. The 74-year-old was taken ill suddenly and is now said to be recuperating. 

Even if you don't know the name, you'll certainly know the tunes she made famous. In addition to "It's A Heartache," and "Holding Out For A Hero," Tyler has guaranteed herself a place in music history with her smash, "Total Eclipse of the Heart." 

“Every time the eclipse comes, everyone all over the world plays ‘Total Eclipse of the Heart,’ and I never get tired of singing it,” she notes."

There's no word on whether her European tour will continue.
