It's already being used in some stadia - a device that allows blind or sight impaired people follow an NFL, MLB or NHL game in real time. It's called a "haptic tablet" and lets people with limited or low vision "feel" what's happening on the field in real time with no delay.
The devices and the subsciptions aren't exactly cheap - a three-month bundle is $420 U.S. - but for those into sports who can never really "see" the action, it may be worth the price.

However there's a good chance it may be available in Canada. Their website includes this line:
"Now, 250 million people worldwide can experience sports intuitively and independently."
Hopefully that includes The Great White North.

Like Braille TV, actually a great idea and like most things, if it gains in popularity the price might come down. Still, a good idea, I wonder if they expand it for other sports?
