I found this article from 1960, the year before CFTO signed on the air. I find the highlighted portion absolutely astounding. Could it have been true that this was the original plan for Channel 9 - or should that be Canale Neuf? I can't imagine how this was actually being thought of or what might have happened to CTV if it had. Surely it's a misprint. Or is it? Does anyone know?
