Much as I hate to introduce even a hint of politics here, it's worth noting that the U.S. Congress has finally showed some backbone and restored funding to the Voice of America, after the current Administration cut its budget.

I'm not sure what that means for its former presence on shortwave radio, but we'll see if it turns up back there or sticks solely to an Internet-only channel. 

Still, as the Washington Post notes, this is far from an absolute done deal.
