For the past week or so a radio spot has been airing to promote Herman’s Hermits at Rama I believe. It stood out for me because they used “HenryVIII” as the music bed, a song I always thought goofy and didn’t really like, even as a kid. Well I think I’m not the only one who doesn’t care for that ditty as I heard the same spot yesterday and the music was changed, they used a couple of different HH hits instead, big improvement. Guess Henry wasn’t selling Herman too well!

Really? You don't like Henry VIIII I am I am? That's my favourite song by Herman's Hermits.

Bit of trivia.
Henry VIII was supposed to have more lyrics but the band was pushed for time to finish up their album, so they decided to just keep singing the chorus over and over.
The aside "second verse, same as the first." was a nod to the fact that they knew well that they were fudging things.

I just find it too repetitive, as newsguy1 pointed out here! We had the single “Something is Happening” when I was a kid, liked that one, plus “No Milk Today”, also mentioned in this thread, both work for me. BTW, the spot was tweaked again and leads off with Henry VIII, again.
