I know a lot of people here aren't big fans of CFRB's Jerry Agar, but when he launched into a long explanation on Friday morning of what led him into talk radio, it was great listening.
He talked about enjoying the same class acts we all loved growing up - John Records Landecker, Wolfman Jack, Yvonne Daniels, etc. And how he went from small market music radio to discovering a talent for controversial talk.
You don't have to like Agar's politics to appreciate his radio journey. Not sure why he started his show that way on Friday, but it was fascinating to hear his story. I don't know if it will turn up on his podcast, but it's worth a listen to hear him explain how he went from a small town in Manitoba to the U.S. and back to Toronto.

Working at all those radio stations, working beside some of great legends of broadcasting.
He's sort of the Forrest Gump of radio.
