His name is Dylan Baker and he just became old enough to legally drink in Ontario. The 19-year-old is living a dream that he might toast to, having been named the new voice of the Guelph Storm hockey team, whose games are on CJOY.
And he has big shoes to fill, taking over from longtime pro Larry Mellott, who retired after last season.
Incredibly, his replacement has already amassed a lot of experience, having been doing various minor league games in one form or another since he was just 13.
Remember that name. If his origins are any indication, he could be a voice to listen for.

Could be an indication that CJOY will be around for a while more. They likely make money on their hockey broadcasts. With everything that is happening with Corus, I thought they might have closed CJOY after the Guelph Storm's season ended earlier in the year.
