Just noticed that Corus has picked up the weekend Vassy Kapelos radio show edition for the 2-4 Saturday slot on AM 640 and London 980 as well as on the other Corus talk stations across the country, under a Mike Bendixon deal with something called Orbyt Media.
So strangely she just randomly appears on Corus radio now on top of her weekday CFRB/CFRA radio show, plus hosting the weekday Power and Politics and Sunday Question Period on CTV.

See the primary thread around this:
I wish posters wouldn't just use the "Firstname Lastname" as a topic subject and nothing else. On this board it's the general convention for someone having passed away to be cited in the subject line that way. It's startling to see it. Why not have a subject reading "Vassy Kapelos on Corus" or something descriptive? ![]()

To prevent any further heart attacks, I've altered the subject line.

My favourite Twilight Zone moment on local radio came this week - a Vassy Kapelos promo for her weekend show running on AM640 at the exact same time her show was going out live on CFRB. Only in Toronto.

Just preparing the general public for the time when only a single voice on a single media source will provide the 'official' narrative. And if you think that's outrageous, just cast your gaze southward. 🤔

This weekend, I heard CFRB and AM640 running the Best of Vassy at the exact same time. 1010's started one hour earlier, but it meant both were running the same show in the same time slot at one point. I can't think of another example of something that bizarre happening on Toronto radio - two competitors with one show running on both stations at once.
(Yes, The Canadian Press newscast often runs parallel on many stations at once. But that's five minutes at the top of the hour - not an entire show.)
