He accused the CBC of trying to silence his voice when they took him off the air. He claimed they didn't like the guests he booked. And now former CBC journalist Travis Dhanraj has a new allegation against his former employer - human rights violations.
The ex-newsman has filed an official complaint about the Corp. to the Canadian Human Rights Commission.
"The complaint...claims Dhanraj, 43, was “met with resistance at every point” of his employment at the broadcaster, and was subject to a “toxic work environment” that expected him to be the “token” brown journalist."
The CBC denies the allegations.

This guy makes around $100k, had a relatively small audience, and thought he was Walter Cronkite. You work within the system of your employer, as you're told, which is how it works at every other workplace. He's now milking the taxpayer, not having worked for over a year. It's a laughable claim to suggest the CBC isn't inclusive and diverse....... I hope this gets thrown out

I would think plenty more than that.
"The bulk of Mr. Dhanraj's complaint revolves around his brief time hosting that nightly news program - where, according to the document, he had an annual base salary of $92,945.36 supplemented by additional remuneration of $43,000, an annual overtime buyout of $10,000 and a $10,000 wardrobe allowance."
Must be nice to clothe yourself on the taxpayer dime, then complain that you had to follow your boss' orders

Kind ironic that Dhanraj complains that he was used as a "token."
His show was replaced by one hosted by Ian Hanomansing.
