The Jays are on the west coast, which means the game didn't start until after 4 PM our time.
The Leafs are playing the Panthers, with a chance to go up 3-1.
And Rogers is taking an interesting chance with both contests. As many here know, the Jays are contractually obligated to have their games on 590. But they're openly promoting the fact the Buds will be on the Fan as scheduled at 7:30 PM.
As I type this post, the Jays are ahead and the game is in the later innings. But what would happen if the Mariners staged a comeback, tied the game and it went into extra innings? They would have to shunt the hockey game with almost no notice to 680, if the baseball contest didn't end in time.
It would be interesting to hear how they would explain it to listeners tuning in to hear one and not the other.
It almost surely won't happen, but just the fact that it could may be making some in management over there a bit nervous until the final out of the ninth inning is called.

With a 9-1 Jays' final, they got away with it, although if Jays Talk goes long, it will wind up on the web only.
