Gone But Not Forgotten: Legendary DJ Tours Old WKBW-AM Building

It's now a somewhat decrepit and run down building, but the former home of the legendary WKBW-AM radio still stands. In a video put up by Buffalo Broadcasters, former KB morning man Danny Neaverth went back to the place on Main St. where so much magic happened over a killer 50KW signal.

Joey Reynolds and Sandy Beach aren't there, but both are very much a part of the tour. It's only 7 minutes, but what a great memory blaster.

By the way, the Buffalo Broadcasters site on YouTube is simply amazing. It features a ton of videos with some of the greatest talent ever to grace Western New York airwaves, including Hound Dog Lorenz, the beginning of WGRQ, the aforementioned Danny Neaverth, TV newscast samples from WKBW and WGRZ, Shane Brother Shane on WGR, Don Berns on KB, and even Lucky Pierre on the long defunct WBNY. There are way too many more to mention.

If you were a fan of or a listener to Buffalo radio growing up, this is a must bookmark site you can find here.

I am uncertain, but the bushy haired fellow (colour still photo) shown when Dan and Martin are describing the studio might be Don Berns.  Was in Buffalo for years before eventually making his way to Toronto.  Then again, it could be Don Pesola.
