Looks at all the effort he's put in to fill WECK's signal gaps -- 3 FMs!

And then 1270 is impaired east of the city and downtown? When there isn't a hole in the market like "Oldies" was?

He clearly understands he needs full-coverage to make a niche AM work.

But with four translators? That sounds like a massive expense of electricity for all of those transmitters sites.  The largest amount of property/acreage would be occupied by the two AMs; one of them being the weakest of the signals which is 1230 KHz - WECK itself!

1230 might be the weakest, but it's the one that better covers the central market. 

The electrical cost is much more insignificant than it's sometimes made out to be in forums.
