Maybe the rumours of death for cable are a bit premature.  Looking at the numbers from the above article, many more people have been watching the Leaf playoff games on Rogers Sportsnet than OTA CBC.  Same with CBC News Network, which has been having steller ratings over the past few months, at times outpacing the numbers from over the air networks.
