Geoffrey Stirling, related to NTV in NFLD killed by Police in Cali

Geoffrey Stirling the son of Geoff Stirling who founded NTV in Newfoundland in 1955, signing on as CJON, died after an altercation with Police in  California. Stirling was riding his motorbike in Laguna, when police stopped him for a traffic violation.

This turned into an altercation where police had to use tasers and force to calm him down. Ultimately, it led to his passing.

Here is more on this story, it's really an incident that could have been averted, I am sure.

He is Geoff William Sterling's grandson. Scott is his father. This is dreadful news for any family but particularly the Sterling's given the loss of Geoff and Joyce's daughter Kimberly in the late 70's. Condolences to Scott, Jesse and the family.
