John Biggs pulled mid week from mornings, new unknown voices this morning. Last few years, Lite 92 has difficulty
retaining lineups.

Bye Bye Lite 92, today's morning bodies are hard to take, perhaps as a retired AM guy it's my age. Enjoyed BC radio, (before computers) and we didn't need the extra voice. Ahhh, the days of annouce-op!

Are they getting ready to launch a new brand?
Are they bringing the jewel back maybe?

I just discovered there is a LITE 99.3 based out of Meaford (living in Barrie) signal is weak here though.

CKPC FM was running a promo in the later part of last week announcing changes happening Monday (this morning). So now they have started to happen...
If I'm correct, I think John Biggs was also the Operations Manager or Director in addition to being the now former morning show host / co-host... of course, I could be mistaken...

The music sounds the same. Lite 92.1 has been fairly upbeat since they shifted from Jewel. Lots of female vocalists in their playlists.

I guess those are the big changes.

Looks like the playlist/format has changed actually-don't recall them playing Jonas Brothers or PitBull previously-seems to be leaning further and further away from Soft A/C.

As long as they keep playing American Top 40 with Casey Kasem (and Rick Dees Weekly Top 40) on the weekend, I'll keep listening.
Davester.

So there now more of an ac/hot ac station

Just checked the on-air lineup for Meaford-looks like middays and drive are voice tracked out of Brantford. Brian Master does weekends, thought he had retired.

Milkman has an official release of the morning changes:

Hard to listen to, too much talk and find conversations somewhat infantile. Perhaps that is the direction Evanov wants to go. If so, bye bye 92.1.

Sigh. I took my first ever three day weekend off from the board starting Friday night and hoped you guys would behave.
Clearly that didn't happen.
I have deleted all of the offending posts and hope we can keep these kind of comments off here in the future. My apologies if you think that wan't deserved, but it would not have been fair to leave just a few of them in.
I get it. These are sensitive times and the Orange man down south is like an infection that keeps making many of us sick. I suppose I'm guilty of bringing him up, but I try to restrict it to broadcast topics - like him going after CBS' 60 Minutes.
How in God's name does a thread about a format change in Brantford degenerate into this?
I will repeat one last time Rodney King's plea, "Can't we all just get along?"

Yup and the format is now about as vanilla as you can get.

The format change itself is a degeneration.

I like the new format, but I miss the old jewel format.
