CKNX Radio Seeking Artifacts For Its 100th Anniversary

Did you ever work for CKNX in Wingham? Do you have any memorabilia from the station? If so, they'd like to see it. The station is gearing up to celebrate its 100th anniversary, a pretty important milestone, and is looking for anything from over the years that could help mark its time on air.

It's nice to see a station that still cares about its history and is willing to make a big deal about it. It first went on the air in February 1926, so they have a year to get ready for the big date. The station emphasizes they want to borrow whatever you have and everything will be returned to the original owners.

So what are they looking for?

"...vintage posters, promotional merchandise, audio or video recordings, and other historical artifacts that highlight the station’s legacy."

If you have anything they might be interested in, you can let them know on their special anniversary prep page here.

I had the pleasure of working at CKNX for six happy years.  Fantastic place to work, great people and most of all we had a blast, so much fun.  I have a CKNX Try Hards jersey that I could contribute.

I have a  CKNX backpack. They were giving them out at their booth at the International Plowing Match, a few years back. They have the ultimate keepsake, CKNX 920 AM, and they want to bury it.
