Audacy Lays Off Hundreds Of Employees In The U.S.

The radio giant has emerged from bankruptcy but many who worked there have not emerged with their jobs. Audacy has chopped hundreds of positions across the country, including at WOMC in Detroit, where midday host Aricka McCauley was one of the people let go.

Audacy owns six stations in Buffalo, including WBEN, WGR and Kiss 98.5, but there's no word yet if anyone was on the chopping block there.

The company is struggling to get back on its feet - much like the employees they've let go will have to try and do now.

There were layoffs at some Buffalo TV stations, although they're unrelated to the Audacy cuts. Alan Pergament outlines who's gone in this Buffalo News article.
