Yes, but the call letters for The One at 101.7 are officially CKNX FM.  So together both stations are CKNX radio.  COOL FM as you mentioned is in the same cluster and operate out of the same building with mostly the same staff.

Besides as mentioned, my comment regarding CKNX radio was in response to the CRTC comment on the Wingham market being above average for revenue.

Assuming that calling the cluster "CKNX Radio", in a thread about the actual station, is obviously about the cluster and not the station itself is absurd.

To say "CKNX is profitable" is to say CKNX-AM is profitable. Period.

That's quite the verbal pretzel twisting there Aaron!  Is the real problem that the Wingham market is outperforming Ontario and national rates of profitability and revenue growth?  This according to the CRTC, and as RA posted above.  Interesting to see smaller markets like Wingham and likely Owen Sound outperforming larger radio groups and profitable.  P.S. I said it was nice to see that CKNX radio was doing well financially. This would certainly include CKNX FM, and sister station COOL FM which are all based in the Wingham market.

No, the problem is that you've communicated your analysys about this cluster with wording that is 25+ years out-of-date, making it quite unclear what the hell you're trying to say.

I know "On Air" branding can be different than station call letters. In the case of Wingham and my guess many other markets, having the same call letters for AM, FM and TV, it did not matter and even worked well.
But now there may be 2 FM stations with the same call letters.
Also note, growing up CKNX FM was branded as FM 102, as technology improved they rebranded themselves as 101.7

There are already two FM stations with the same call letters right here in Toronto. CHIN-FM, at 100.7, and what's called CHIN-1-FM, at 91.9. That's in addition to their AM at 1540.
