Mike Stafford Update

Mike Stafford dropped by this afternoon to update us on his life. If you're a Stafford fan, or simply curious about how things are going with his suit against Corus, his health, and his marriage, you can hear our chat here.

Re: Mike Stafford Update

I appreciate the shout-out to the SOWNY Board (around the 59 minute mark), even if it wasn't all complimentary. I still miss Stafford on air and hope somehow he finds a way to improve his lot in life. I found him very entertaining and feel bad about what's happened to him.

Hope he eventually finds a happy life after 640. Although the length of his lawsuit vs. Corus is completely insane. (He says it may not be resolved until 2028!)

Re: Mike Stafford Update

(Thanks for sharing the link to the podcast Toronto Mike.)

At the start of the episode Mike Stafford made a quip about a moment he'd experienced that day that had felt like something from an Alfred Hitchcock film and it was like he'd just taken a break from the mic and was back ...the rest of his visit with Toronto Mike continued with the same energy.

The update on Staff's personal and professional life covered a lot of ground and then Toronto Mike got his views on a wide range of subjects. Staff was entertaining, informed and that section of the episode could probably work as a demo reel of what an official Mike Stafford podcast might sound like.

I have every confidence that Stafford will make his way and find or put together the sort of on-air/podcast gig that works best for him. He's got a built-in audience waiting and the strong support of good people who believe in his talent including Toronto Mike.

🤞🎧🎙️

Re: Mike Stafford Update

Always enjoyed Stafford, all the way back to 1010 days.  A shame what happened to him, although in the cancel culture era, it was largely his mistake to put himself in that untenable position.  I would welcome him back on air any time, and I would listen.  Is there a host currently working in talk radio that he couldn't replace and improve the show?  I can't think of one.
