It appears CBC has created a new liner that follows their shows on Radio 1. I heard it for the first time following "Under The Influence" on Thursday.
A fairly deep voiced announcer says "You're Listening To CBC Radio 1," followed by the usual musical sting.
Then he says, "Always Here For Canada!"
Interesting. Is this a response to the situation with the U.S. or a challenge to a potential change in the federal government that may result in its defunding? Either way, I don't think it's a coincidence, and you'll probably be hearing more of it as the days and weeks go by.

Before, it was Canada lives here.
I also agree with our haritage minister.
The CBC should be using HD radio for extra radio networks like an all classical network, a south-asian network and an all news network like the BBC uses DAB.
And, the CBC should also have a radio and tv network for programming only in the languages of the native people of Canada.

Donald Trump may have made it harder for the Conservatives to defund CBC. I did notice last evening a commercial for Pierre Poilievre and the Conservatives on CBC. I am not sure I have ever seen a commercial for them on the public broadcaster. Sort of strange that the party would buy airtime from a network they were looking to get rid of.
