I first heard him on WHAM in Rochester many years ago, but Allan Harris had a long and very successful career at WBEN-AM in Buffalo. The veteran broadcaster disappeared from the airwaves last month, and many listeners were demanding to know where he went. The station would only call it a "leave of absence."
Sadly, that "absence" will now never end. The station will only say he passed away after suffering a "critical illness." His family says on Twitter/X that he suffered a heart attack and multiple strokes in November and could not recover from them.
