I found this video (and the radios it displays) fairly interesting, although the narration done by the guy behind it gets annoying after a while. But it shows off some great vintage portable transistor radios that many of us grew up with, concentrating on how the transistor changed the game - and led to the spread of the rock and roll format. 

I loved those old models, although today's are far better in terms of performance and reception. Still, they were kind of works of art. And I have great memories of many of them.
