He said his official goodbye on Sunday's 6 PM Global News, confirming he's decided to leave the network after 12 years of reporting and anchoring the weekend show. He didn't say where he was going, just that he was "staying in the reporting business" and that you'd be seeing him again soon.
His farewell isn't his final appearance on the network, however. He'll be doing the 11 PM show, which will officially end his time at Global and he says he'll repeat his final goodbye then.
Before coming to TV, he'd been in the now decimated CFRB newsroom. He's lucky he escaped there when he did.

We saw his farewell. Nicely done, including the wink about seeing us elsewhere, soon.

She came from Global Peterborough (CHEX) where she read morning news, back when they had a local morning show. Then, her name was Noor Ibrahim.
