Jack Long of Long and McQuade fame, was a music lover, supporter, volunteer, empowered youth, was an avid advertiser on Radio and according to Exclaim! Neil Peart bought his first drum kit from Long and McQuade and he rest was Rush rock and roll history.

Long was 95 and as the CBC writes, 

"Jack lived a long and happy life, surrounded by music and family until the very end," said their statement. "We are proud of the legacy he leaves and will miss him every day."
