Yesterday I heard for the first time a promo for the new Bravo channel launching in September and all I can say is that they need to learn how to produce a decent promo. It consisted mostly of audio bites from shows you’ve likely never heard of, and not very enticing clips at that. I believe this is a Rogers channel, so maybe I shouldn’t be surprised that their promo doesn’t work, at least for me.

As this Bravo channel has the rights to many shows my wife watches, will it be available to other BDUs?
I phoned Bell and they had no idea about it. And it begins Sept. 1.

They're not targeting you. They might not even be targeting me.
The group they may be targeting might not even watch actual TV anymore.
There's no doubt the shows on Bravo just might be a hit in the Bravo section of CityTV plus...or Amazon Pime or where ever the true Bravo audience is.
Having an actual channel just declares that something was shown there first, maybe?
"Catch new episodes first on Bravo..." (or something like that...)

Isn't it simply an auto switch over?
If you already have OLN it will simply switch over. Bell might still list the channel as OLN, but the channel will read Bravo when you tune into it.
*It's a channel being replaced, not a brand new channel sign on.

This is part of Rogers WBD (HGTV, Food, Discovery) and NBCUniversal (Bravo) agreements. Most of the programming that will be on the new Bravo would have been normally been seen on Slice. So it's is just part of the multiple whammies to Corus of late. They loose HGTV, Food etc names and programming and much of the content for Slice. (Real Housewives, Below Deck and Summer House etc)
