The first is James Mackin, who was a reporter, sometime anchor and did entertainment updates for CFTR. He's suffering from a painful spinal tumour and has already had two surgeries. 

The other name you might remember is Geoff Rohoman. who is taking a leave of absence to battle colon cancer.
