Talk about retro. WCCO 830, the clear channel AM powerhouse from Minneapolis that almost every DXer here has on their received list, is celebrating its 100th anniversary this Fall and is already airing special programming to remember its own past. But it's also doing something none of the other century-old broadcasters is trying - releasing a double vinyl LP highlighting the station's past and present. 

It offers "88 minutes of audio spanning WCCO's illustrious history. Each vinyl will include a unique digital download code with the audio and bonus content, including an additional eight hours and 30 minutes of outtakes, tributes, memories and over 200 images."

And there's even a tenuous Toronto connection.

"Longtime personality Chad Hartman will throw the first pitch at Target Field prior to the Twins game against the Toronto Blue Jays."
