I wasn't a fan of the Canadian comedy, but I really liked the performers who were in it. And while I used to be a devotee of the Emmy Awards, I no longer recognize most of the shows up for the big prizes, so I rarely watch it anymore.
That might change this year, though, now that they've revealed the hosts - Eugene Levy and his son Dan. It's the first time a father-son pair will get the honour. It comes after the "Creek" actors won multiple awards at the ceremony in COVID-plagued 2020.
“For two Canadians who won our Emmys in a literal quarantine tent, the idea of being asked to host this year in an actual theater was incentive enough,” The Levys said in a statement. “We’re thrilled to be able to raise a glass to this extraordinary season of television and can’t wait to spend the evening with you all on Sept. 15.”

I am thinking of giving Schitt's Creek another look. Didn't really understand it's popularity with all of the Emmy wins but a lot of people and critics liked the show. The other day when we were discussing Schitt's Creek, I mentioned I had watched only 3 or 4 shows, I realized that they were all in the first season when it came on. It wasn't that I didn't like the show, but didn't get what the fuss was about.
When Seinfeld first came on, I watched a few from the first season and didn't especially like the program and didn't find it funny. I only started watching the show when it was in syndication, and then really enjoyed it. When it was in it's network run, rarely watched. I enjoyed Frasier much more, and from the very first episode.
Regarding Schitt's, a few critics mentioned how the characters evolved and grew during the different seasons. They weren't the same people at the end as they were in the beginning. Critics and I guess fans found this to be a rare in a comedy and made the program and characters more engaging.
