Roy Green was on vacation last week, which explains the reroll. But this weekend's show should be of note. He's apparently going to be doing his program from Hinton, Alberta, concentrating some considerable attention on the devastating wildfires that have all but destroyed the city of Jasper.
With weekend radio often a vast wasteland, it will be nice to have him back with live programming, no matter where he is.

Corus has released a few more details about the show, and it turns out Green may not be back after all. Instead, Shaye Ganam, who hosts a province-wide show on both CHED in Edmonton and CHQR in Calgary, will host the special fire coverage on Saturday.
Jas Johol, who I believe broadcasts out of CKNW in Vancouver, will take over coverage on Sunday.
While he's certainly entitled to vacation time, Green has missed the attempted assassination of Donald Trump, the withdrawal of Joe Biden from the race for President and the ascension of Kamala Harris, along with the Jasper fire story. He had no way of knowing of course, but he picked a hell of a time to take a few weeks off!

Good on Corus for doing this. I agree that Roy didn't pick the best weeks to be away. However I still find that his show dwells on the same topics too much.
Things like Alberta Oil, Ukraine, Healthcare, Unjust Legal System, Trucker Protest, Slamming The Liberals, Slamming the CBC, Canada's Military, and Premier Moe of Saskatchewan are covered or talked about whenever I tune in. And I don't listen in every weekend. I wish his show was more current and not always going back to the above topics all the time, with nothing new to say about them.
