Radios In A Lamp & A Phone? The Valuable Of Vintage Receivers

There may not be a lot of money in working in radio anymore, but these vintage models can still make music in your wallet if you can find the right collector.

I've seen some of the ones featured here, but others were completely new to me. Like the radio hidden in a lamp. It's neat looking, but wouldn't the electricity to power the bulb cause interference with the AM? (You can tell it's AM, because you can see the dial at the bottom of the hybrid device.)

Probably the weirdest one to me is the phone radio that looks like something out of Get Smart (pictured below.)

The very first radio in this catalogue is almost exactly what my father kept in the living room.
He'd listen for hours to operas that played every Saturday afternoon on the CBC.
They were live from the Metropolitan Opera House in New Yok.
