TSN and COPA America

TSN has the rights to this tournament but some of the games were scheduled for TSN+ which requires a separate subscription. Tonight's game between Argentina and Chile was suppose to be one of those games on TSN+ only but it seems they decided to put it on regular TSN at the last moment. I wonder if they got complaints from the soccer fans?

Re: TSN and COPA America

I hope they complained.   TSN used to do a bang up job televising motorsports events like IndyCar and F1 but has migrated several of this season's IndyCar races to TSN+, which with a couple of exceptions, were also televised on NBC or MSNBC (like last weekend's race).    They haven't touched Formula 1 yet but have moved some support series off cable to TSN+ as well, meanwhile showing multiple repeats of their sports update show.    Many countries have put F1 racing on exclusive streaming, putting it out of reach to many.   Average global viewing of F1 in 2023 was 70 million per race, so they're cashing in big time with subscription viewing.    There are nefarious ways to view it online but they're illegal and F1 cracks down heavily on those who share their subscription content that way.   Sadly,  TSN will probably add F1 to TSN+ soon.
