On the final day of Pat Sajak's tenure on Wheel of Fortune comes another history making TV game show event - a Canadian contestant who bid exactly $1 under the price of his showcase on The Price Is Right. The man, from Grand Prairie, Alberta, apparently just made a lucky guess with no help from the audience and wound up winning both showcases, worth over $83,000 U.S. Both host Drew Carey's and the winner's reactions are priceless (and right!)
You can see the incredible video here.
As amazing as that is, there is one contestant in the history of the long running show who did it one better, getting the showcase price exactly on the nose. But the person who helped him with the bid was discovered to be a lifelong TPIR fan who memorized the prices of everything offered on the show and managed to somehow calculate it to the penny.
That was made into a rather bizarre documentary called "Perfect Bid: The Contestant Who Knew Too Much." You can see it for free below.

The Youtube insert says it's age-restricted. I tried applying my senior's discount but nothing happened.

I did not run into that issue at all. But now I see the what, if not the why.
I was watching it with a VPN set to the U.S. and it worked fine. But when I changed to Canada, I got the same message as you. However if you hit the link that says "Watch on YouTube" it will work, regardless of country. Give it a try.

Thank you for sharing this. It was a lot of fun to watch.

I saw it, too...and no restrictions. Plus, Drew Carey made it PAINFULLY clear that the contestant had no help from anyone in the audience.
