It was June 2, 2004, twenty years ago today that Johnny Gilbert introduced a contestant named Ken Jennings, a software developer from Salt Lake City, as a contestant on Jeopardy. Of course, he went on to win that game and then 73 additional consecutive games, and over $2.5 million (and an additional $2M in various later tournaments) and now host. An important day in Jeopardy’s history.
