CKLW Talk Show Veteran Says Goodbye After 38 Years

It's rare enough to have been in radio for 38 years. It's even less likely you'll spend all that time at the same station. That's what veteran morning talk show host Lisa Williams takes away with her as she finishes an amazing run Friday at the Big 8, a span that lasted almost four decades.

In all that time, she worked with only two co-hosts. And she admits going into retirement at the tender age of just 57 will be different.

“Nobody likes change. It’s going to be a bit of an adjustment for me and it’s going to be an adjustment for our listeners.”

Meanwhile, a Detroit radio jock is also stepping away from the mic, this time to go into the movie biz.
