CTV Toronto did a short tribute to Bob Cole on Thursday. It was nice, but had no audio of Cole himself. Maybe they didn't have the audio rights cleared, or they weren't prepared. But the script read by Nathan Downer mentioned that Cole represented Newfoundland in both the 1971 Brier AND the 1975 Canadian men's curling championship. I guess neither Nathan nor anyone there knows that's what the Brier is. Poor writing.
