Last Hour Of John Oakley's Friday Show Won't Air On AM 640

It's being interrupted for a special hosted by Ben Mulroney about the death of his father, the former Prime Minister. It will include tributes from Wayne Gretzky, ex-US. President George W. Bush and Michael Bublé, among others.

It makes perfect sense for Corus to take advantage of having Ben Mulroney on staff to pay tribute to his dad. I'm just not sure about the timing of when it airs. Is this something you would want to listen to while driving home in rush hour traffic after a long week at work? Perhaps it could have aired at a different time, although this will certainly guarantee it more exposure.

The actual funeral takes place this weekend in Montreal, meaning a host of regular radios shows, especially on CBC, will likely be interrupted. Greg Brady promised it would be a central part of The Roy Green Show on Saturday, as well.
