The future prospects for sports media in North America

The Bob McCown podcast had a chat with U.S. based sports writer/reporter, Peter King about the changing landscape of the sports broadcast industry.

In the 4 minute chat, they bring up the diminishing sports outlets, such as the demise of the local paper, radio station etc.

They also talk about how more and more women are covering sports and doing it well. They subtly question if the audience is ready for more female hosts/reporters. King makes reference to his daughter who love sports and feels that as acceptance grows the opportunities can be abundant.

Lastly, they chat about how the NFL is controlling the sports reporting narrative and has an enormous and potentially biased control of the messaging and the people delivering the message.

Here is the link to watch. Comments welcome.
