It’s an excellent question and I don’t have an answer. Those who have been trying to access this little piece of Internet heaven on Wednesday afternoon were greeted with the dreaded “This site cannot be reached,” message. And it went on for what felt like forever, one of the lengthiest outages I’ve seen yet.
 
The problem is/was with Boardhost, which allows users to create these sites. Unfortunately, they’re as prone to technical glitches as anyone and when they go down, we all go with them. (Lorne’s terrific Oldies Board, another Boardhost site, was also affected.)

Is It Down Right Now will check the server and tell you if it gets a response or if it doesn’t. If it does, but you don’t, the problem is on your end. If it doesn’t, then it’s not you – it’s them. And it won’t be back until they fix it. It works on all sites and is a handy tool when you can't seem to connect. 
 
So thanks for your patience. We’re back now and hope to stay that way for a while!
