Times are tough at Corus, as recent revelations about its fiscal health have shown. And it was expected there would be more layoffs. One of them came this week, with Broadcast Dialogue reporting the afternoon host at CIBQ-FM (Big 101) in Barrie is no longer with the station. 

Matt Vittese was not only doing drive home on-air work, but he was also its assistant music director. 

He'd been with the station since 2019. 

No immediate word on a replacement and its website lists all the hosts - but omits the afternoon drive period. 

The station recently switched to an All Christmas music format.
