It used to be called "Stadium" and in fact, still shows up on my TV by that name. But as of the beginning of this month, the sports are gone and it's been replaced by something called "The Nest." But is it for the birds?
That depends a lot on whether you're into reality shows. "The Nest" is a 24-hour free over-the-air network that boasts shows like "Dog The Bounty Hunter," "Ice Road Truckers" and a host of "Flip This House"-type programs. I stumbled across "Ozzy & Jack's World Detour" on the weekend, a show featuring Ozzy Osbourne and his son Jack touring various places. On this episode, they went to visit the original Sun Records, where Elvis Presley got his start. A very bizarre show.
But to me, the real highlight is "American Justice," the old A&E stalwart that stars Bill Kurtis. It's on several times a day.
OK, so you don't have an antenna and you can't see it on WNYO's Channel 49.2. But it turns out, you can. The network has put up its live feed free and while it's not on demand, you can watch it live on the web here, even without a VPN, which is a bonus!
