It's not often a news/talk station does a contest, but the prize for CFRB's "Car Full of Cash" competition seems somewhat odd to me. The winner in a ultimate trivia contest wins a car and $10,000.
The cash is nice and it would sure help. But it's the car that has me a bit confused. Because you don't actually win a car. You win a one-year lease on a car. That means at the end of 365 days, your "prize" has to either be returned, have its lease extended or I suppose you could buy it outright.
Don't get me wrong - it's still a nice bonus. But I'm not sure I've ever heard of a contest where you eventually have to give the biggest part of the winnings back. Which makes its promotion of the competition something of a falsehood. Because technically, you don't actually "win" that 2024 Nissan Sentra!
