It appears it's become something of an urban myth that certain songs were banned outright by some radio stations after the unthinkable events of Sept. 11, 2001. It's apparently not true, although some were encouraged to think twice before letting these get on air.

Despite the now exaggerated tale, a list of them has been making the rounds ever since. Some make perfect sense. Others make you go "huh?" I mean, "Johnny Angel" by Shelley Fabares? Really?
