The Usual Suspects Top Toronto's Summer Radio Ratings
CBC Radio 1 is in first place in the summer book, followed by CHFI and Q017. Also doing well: CHUM-FM, Boom, and CityNews 680.

One other thing of note in the article. It says one of Vancouver's top raters is CKNW.
In case you're not familiar with local Vancouver radio, that's an AM station - and it's an all-talk format. There have been many here in the past few days saying talk, especially on an AM station, is no longer viable. But NW's ongoing success suggests if it's done right and with great talent, it can not only succeed - it can even win against its FM competitors.
CJAD in Montreal, another all talker on AM, is also among that city's best.
In the end, a lot is in the execution. Put something really good on the air and people will find it, regardless of the band.

CKNW is an outlier in a market that has seen the most erosion of listeners under 50 years old. Oh, and they just fired its PD!
CJAD in 25-54 is #5 of 6 English stations, just ahead of AM sports TSN690 and #14 of all stations.

Not great. #8 with a 5.2.
CHUM and CHFI are inverse; CHUM great mornings, poor everywhere else, CHFI the opposite.
