The longtime talented sports host had been doing mornings on Sauga960 for over four years, after departing from TSN1050. (If memory serves, he also did a stint on the Fan590.)
The Sauga show always seemed something of an odd fit to me, and I hope he'll be happier in his new gig - doing a morning program on Game+, a bit of a niche cable network that caters to esports fans and gamers. (Among some of the events it covers: Major League Pickleball. In other news, there's a Major League Pickleball organization.)
The network is available on most of the major systems, including Bell and Rogers, but way high up in the channel list, so it may not be a place you often venture to if you're on cable. Richards and the network is hoping his presence might help change that.
Richards talked about his new job with Toronto Mike on a recent podcast if you want to hear more.
