He's usually in the air chair whenever Greg Brady can't be. His name is Rob Fai and you may have heard him filling in during the morning show on 640 when Brady takes time off. He's originally from Scarbrough but he now lives and works far from home in Vancouver.
Like Brady, he started in sports radio and like Brady, he's no longer doing that. In fact, you may not believe his side hustles, which include being a barber and acting as a wrestling promoter. Well, that and subbing for other Corus hosts as needed.
“I kind of cold-called CKNW and told them if they had anything, I’d be interested...Now I’m pretty much on six days a week for the next month. And I also have parlayed that into doing work with their morning show in Toronto. So if I’m not on in Vancouver, I’m usually on doing 640 in Toronto. I’ve kind of weaned my way into a pretty regular gig in just piecing things together in different markets,” notes Fai."
