She hasn't been on her afternoon radio show on iHeart for at least four weeks, with Robin Gill and Amanda Galbraith taking her place, Question Period disappeared when the House rose for the summer and, while I don't get CTV News Channel, I'm betting she's been absent from her daily show there, too.
Other than the breaking story a few weeks ago about the Prime Minister's separation from his wife, when she made a special appearance on her own radio show, she hasn't been on since. This isn't a complaint, really, but if she has a contract that essentially gives her the same time off as our politicians, I would love to get a deal like that! (Even the late Johnny Carson, who always seemed to be off The Tonight Show towards the end of his reign, might have envied her vacation.)
Hopefully, she'll be back soon. Her substitutes have been fine, but she brings experience and knowledge to her show that can't be duplicated.

Do you mean Vassy?
Yes, and it's not the first time I've made that mistake. I seem to have a mental block about typing her name for some reason and it always comes out Ashley! It reflects badly on me and not her! I've corrected the error and appreciate you pointing it out.
By the way, I'm also a huge Battlestar Galactica fan, which is where I'm assuming your pseudonym comes from. By your command!

So say we all! And you’re right about the origin of my username. I didn’t watch the original BSG until I met my husband (who had it on VHS in the 1990s), and I thought it was horribly cheesy 😄 I loved the reimagined BSG - I missed a whole lot of episodes about halfway through its run when I had a new baby, and early on in the pandemic I was able to watch the whole thing from the beginning on Comet. It’s still just as good 20 years later!

I watched both and loved the "cheesy" original. I once interviewed Lorne Greene a few seasons after it went off the air and let's just say, he wasn't too pleased to talk about it.
But unlike many critics, I thought the ending of the second version was perfect. A lot of people hated it. But holy frack, not me. I still think it was a great finale.

I follow Katee Sackhoff on Instagram, and she recently posted a picture of herself and Tricia Helfer. Someone commented, “Get her on Mando”, and I can hardly believe what a good idea that is! 😄

She's been on a big family vacation in Greece, according to her Instagram.

For those who aren't active on Instagram but are fans of Katee Sackhoff a while back she returned to her YouTube channel and started a podcast, managing to release five episodes until the strike happened. She's terrific in everything she works on, even the name she came up with for her podcast is so her. Yet another reason to hope for a resolution to the strike in the U.S.

This is week three. It seems like more because she did breaking news on TV on one of her last days and took a day to interview James Cameron recently as well. Robin Gill did week one and Amanda Galbraith did last week and is doing this week. She is back Monday. I look forward to a straight news program again without Amanda Galbraith's political opinions coloring every topic or Robin Gill having to cut everyone off after asking a question that requires a long answer with only 25 seconds left until a break. Vassy has quickly proven to be extremely good at live radio. The show isn't the same without her. I wish talk radio offered more straight news shows like hers. I haven't missed an episode.

Vassy is 'can't miss' radio for me. I enjoy various hosts on 1010 and 640, and can't stomach a few, but Vassy is top-notch. Come back, soon!
