Back in the early 70s, the golden age of FM Radio, I was living way up on the Bruce Peninsula. There was no local FM, not even anything that could be characterized as fringe. All FM was DX and was dependent on the vagaries of propagation conditions.
Whenever I could get it, CKDS was one of my favourites. Everything from their music to their on-air staff to their programs was so polished and professional.
My favourite day was Sunday. Every Sunday morning, they featured a program with the Mormon Tabernacle Choir. I don’t have a religious bone in my body. I’m a non-believer. But I enjoy traditional Christian music.
Sunday evening, there was always a concert from the Boston Pops Orchestra. The perfect way to finish off a weekend.
How I miss those days

Speaking of CKDS, why didn't this happen?
Back then, the CRTC was actually concerned with media concentration. Also, Hamilton wasn't yet a Toronto exurb.
